No. The Whistler Pride Festival is a new festival started in 2026, created to carry Pride forward in Whistler with refreshed programming and a sustainable, community-focused model. It is not affiliated with whistlerpride.com or its former organizers.
2027 festival programming is underway and will be announced later this year. We are focusing on the return of guided ski and snowboard groups, high-energy parties and themed nights, drag that turns heads, DJs and live acts, après across Village, community and cultural moments with heart, and a Pride Parade that sends it – complete with a full-on rainbow ski-out.
Yes! The free daily guided program, one of Whistler’s most loved Pride traditions, is back for 2027 and led by the original volunteer team.
While there is not currently an official hotel partner for the 2027 event, Whistler is a welcoming and inclusive destination with a wide variety of accommodation options. Check out our festival lodging deals and visit Whistler for 2SLGBTQIA+ Travellers for additional information and resources. Yes, Whistler has embraced the 2SLGBTQIA+ community for more than 30 years and is recognized globally as one of the most welcoming winter destinations in the world. Visitors will find inclusive spaces across the resort, from the mountains to the Village, with a strong culture of belonging and respect.
Our goal is to showcase the best of Whistler! Whistler Pride Festival takes place on the slopes of Whistler Blackcomb and throughout Whistler Village. Event programming for 2027 will be announced later this year.
Whistler is located on the unceded territory of the Lil’wat Nation and Squamish Nation, a scenic two-hour drive from Vancouver along the Sea to Sky Highway. Getting here is easy. You can hop on a shuttle from Vancouver International Airport (YVR) or downtown Vancouver, drive the stunning Sea to Sky Highway, one of the best mountain routes in North America, or book a private transfer if you want a more tailored, door-to-door experience. Once you arrive, the Village is pedestrian-friendly and most festival venues are within walking distance.
Lift tickets, Epic Day Passes, and season passes for Whistler Blackcomb can be purchased directly on whistlerpridefestival.com and whistler.com when packaged with accommodation. For stand alone lift tickets, please visit the Whistler Blackcomb website. Booking early is strongly recommended as winter inventory is limited and pass products go off sale in early December each year.
Tourism Whistler provides festival-wide oversight and support, while programming is curated by a team of experienced event professionals and community-minded partners, led by TFD Presents. The free daily Guided Ski Program continues under the leadership of John Sutherland and a team of volunteer ski and snowboard guides. Programming is designed to balance on-mountain adventure, après energy, nightlife, and inclusive community events, all shaped around what makes Whistler special in winter. You can expect a mix of recognizable talent, guest performers, new events, and beloved Pride traditions — with fresh new additions for 2027.
Yes! Volunteer opportunities, including festival support roles and mountain-based programs will be available. Help create a safe and joyful space for thousands of guests from around the world.
